Word 2010. Pasting items copied, I get {EMBED..}
When I copy a web address from my browser and paste into a Word Doc, I get something looking like, {HYPERLINK"http://scistore.cambridgesoft.com/"}. Not an actual hyperlink.
Similarly, when I copy a chemical structure from my chemical structure drawing program and paste into Word, i get something looking like, {EMBED ChemDraw document 6.0} and not the picture that I wanted. It seems some Word setting has gone awry, but I have no idea what it is. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 12-23-2019 at 09:21 AM. |

You have Word's field code display toggled 'on'. Pressing Alt-F9 toggles it on/off.
