Exclamation Embed Printing Preferences (Pages to Print) in each file

Is there a way to embed the number of pages to print in a Word file? Maybe a Macro? I need to print multipule copies of pages but the Footers need to change. Inserting page breaks would take too much time due to the amount of copies needed.
Example: I need to copy pages 1 to 4. The footers need to be repeated 8 times. So pages 1 to 4 need to start renumbering over again.

There are thousands of files that need different amounts of pages printed. Rather than copy the pages over and over again and insert hundreds of page breaks in each word file it would be simpler to just embed the # of pages to print within each file.

If you only need to print pages 1-4, why would the 'footers need to be repeated 8 times'? There could only be 4 footers at most (more likely, only 1) in 4 pages.

We have Dimensional Data Sheets that need to be filled out for a Machine Shop and all of the dimensions on a blue print are on these sheets. If there are say 50 dimensions on 3 sheets pages 1-3 (1, 2, 3 of 3) then we will need a total of 4 sets of sheets to make 200 parts. They can't be numbered 1 of 12 ect... We need the renumbering to start over again at 1 of 3 and so on. Every part has a different amount of dimensions so the pages can be from 1 to 8.
For every order about 8 word documents print (only once), they cannot have this one file with the Dimensional Records print out more than once. We need to put the right amount of pages into each Word file to cover the amount of parts need. For that reason putting page breaks into thousands of files is too lengthy. If we can simply make the Word file remember how many times to print each file would save hundreds of hours.

What you're descvribing may be amenable to a mailmerge but nothing you've posted so far indicates how the required number of pages is determined. That is something any automated process would need.
