Question Forms: text fields and <CR>

Thank you; Is there anyway to capture the carriage return key <enter> to keep it from going to the next line. When I use a table to seperated designated form fields, the <enter> key changes the height of the table. I would like to keep the table height fixed. The tab works well, going form field to field. I would like to block the <enter key> in the form, because the form is setup as a table.

Default thanks for reply but...

Thank you for the quick reply!. Great source of information, but I am still working in Word 2000. I can not find the option under properties for allowing carriage returns in the form field. Is it possible to do this in Word 2000. Or must I upgrade to the current version?
