Question Forms: text fields and <CR>

Thank you; Is there anyway to capture the carriage return key <enter> to keep it from going to the next line. When I use a table to seperated designated form fields, the <enter> key changes the height of the table. I would like to keep the table height fixed. The tab works well, going form field to field. I would like to block the <enter key> in the form, because the form is setup as a table.
