Default Chapter name in header (word 2013)?

I would really appreciate your help.

I need to have the chapter name and page number in the header. But I know how to insert chapter name and page number in the header. When I do, both are not in same line page number bit higher than the chapter name. I would like to have both in same line. See the image for the format I needed.

Thanks in advance

So after a bit of searching, I got it. Now I can able to format chapter name and page number in the same line (as in the above picture).

I have got another problem. Some chapter names are longer than the other. Either I get the formatting with shorter chapter names or the longer ones.

I used Right Tab between chapter name and page number. Shorter chapter names need two tabs which makes longer names into two lines and longer chapter names need one tab which makes the page number in the middle of the line (in one tab distance).

How can I fit chapter name in one line and at the end of the line page number??

Thanks in advance.

Use an Alignment Tab instead of the Tab key. It is in the Header/Footer ribbon tab.

I assume you are using a StyleRef Field for your Chapter name.

Thanks for your reply.

But I did it differently. I inserted a table of 1*2. First column chapter name using StyleRef and second column Page

One other option would be to remove the center tab from the Header style.
