Word 2010 FormText appears in doc instead of text
MAC using Microsoft 2010 -- We have been using a Form document that was originally designed in Word 2003. Works like a charm... until today. Somehow the boss filled in all the form fields, sent it to print and it printed with all the FormText and FormDropDown codes. The document automatically closed and then when it was reopened, all his comments still appear to be there, but so are the coding tags.
I'm using a Word 2010 on my desktop with Windows 7 Pro (64-bit). I looked under the File/Options/Advanced/Print and there is no checkmark beside the 'Print field codes instead of their values'. Under the File/Options/Advanced/Show Document Content -- the 'Show field codes instead of their values' is greyed out and NOT checked. Any idea on how to get this resolved? Oh yeah.... also the ribbon is greyed out. Can't select any of the text in the document. It's a weird, but hopefully familiar to someone here. Thanking you in advance. Miche |

Someone has their Word installation configured to 'Print field codes instead of their values'...
See under File|Options|Advanced>Print
