Wrap text in text box around image with transparent background
Hi,
I'm glad for joining this forum! I have a image with transparent background. I want to wrap the image with text like the example with the blue figure here: https://support.office.com/en-gb/art...ODH_WrapPoints (under the "Use wrap points to adjust text flow around a shape" heading). I can do this with normal paragraphs but it does not work when the text is in a text box. How can I do this? |

You could replace the textbox with a single-cell table. If you want the table to 'float' on the page like a textbox, change its wrap format to 'around'.

I just wanted to have all the features of the text box. Eg. the link feature.

It would have helped had you mention the need to employ textbox linking, instead of saying that only after I'd spent time providing an alternative solution.
If you insert an image into a textbox, it can only have 'in-line with text' formatting and, if you insert an image into the body of the document and give it a floating format before dragging it over a textbox, the textbox content won't wrap around the picture. Those are the compromises you have to work with; Word provides no way of doing what you want.

That was what I was afraid of.
Thanks for your help! |
