Question Sharing Quick Parts

Is there any easy way to do this with a team of users? It seems you have to copy building blocks.dotx into a location in AppData for each user. Surely there must be a simpler method? Any info appreciated.

It is called a Global Template. See: Where can Building Blocks be stored?

The resolution to this is to share the building blocks file you have created in C: Users > <yourusername> AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Document Building Blocks > 1033 > 15. Copy Building Blocks.dotx from this location. Other users must place this in the same location in their user directory to share your Quick Parts.

No.

Thank you for trying to help, but this is the method the user was hoping to avoid.

It will also overwrite any existing building blocks saved by the other user. The 15 is a version-specific location for Word 2013. For Word 2010 they are in the folder 14.

If the Building Blocks are instead stored in a Global Template then they will not overwrite the individual user's file. They can be stored in a network location available to all users and changing one file can change it for everyone.
