Transferring link from word to PDF

Hi, I am saving my resume from word to a PDF to show potential employers. Within my resume I have a link to my LinkedIn profile. but I can't seem to get the link to remain once I transfer it over to a PDF. I created a hyperlink on word, and even tried using bitly. But nothing works. Advice?

Hyperlinks in documents saved as PDFs should still work, but hyperlinks in documents 'printed' as PDFs won't.

Can I ask how you are saving the file as a PDF? I have the same problem as you when I "Save As" then select the format as PDF, but the hyperlink works fine when I "Save As Adobe PDF"

Word 2010 has no "Adobe PDF" Save As option - only "PDF". Regardless, the OP is using Mac Word, which is an entirely different product that has a long-standing issue with maintaining functional hyperlinks in PDFs.

True but I also have a mac and that is why I posted that option. It has worked for me, thought it could benefit someone else.

Given that your profile indicates you're using Word 2010, you need to be clear when you're posting about Mac Word, that that's what you're referring to; otherwise (as in post #5 which appears as a response to my post) it gives the impression you're referring to Word 2010.
