Creating Shorcuts to insert choices of different text

Hi, it is possible to make to make a box whereby I can insert a choice of several answers each with its own shortcut code/key e.g

What type of valve is fitted?

~#A A bronze ball valve
~#B A steel ball valve
~#C A stainless steel ball valve
~#D A bronze globe valve
~#E A steel globe valve


~#F A stainless steel globe valve

You could add each of your strings to Word's Auto-correct facility so that, when you type:
~#A
for example, Word replaces it with:
A bronze ball valve

I'm not sure I understand.
AutoCorrect has already been suggested.
AutoText would be another option. Take a look at the AutoTextList field.

It sounds as if you do not want a drop-down list but rather want context-sensitive shortcuts. If so, the AutoTextList field is about as close as Word comes.

If you want a drop-down list, there are several options available.

You might also want to look into using a custom dialog box, called a userform.
