Hi folks,
I've been messing around with this formatting issue for hours.

A bit of context:
I'm trying to add a chart in the middle of my document, but this chart takes up an entire page on its own, and has to be in landscape orientation (the rest of the doc is portrait). I've done so by inserting a section break before and after the chart so that I can format the 'section' differently.



However, this page is in the middle of a thesis chapter, and I would like for the sections around this break to be continuous (i.e., I basically want to insert a random section into the middle of my word document that totally 'un-linked' from the rest of it).

There must be a way to do this - But I can't seem to figure out how to do it!

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...apeSection.htm covers all there is to know about Landscape sections. The only other way to do it would be to save the chart as a graphic image already rotated and insert it into the text as an image.

Unlinked... how?

Page Numbers?
Headers and Footers?
Text flowing around your Landscape insertion?

Do you want to be able to move this section around within your document? I know of no way to do this.

Graham has given you the link to an article about adding a landscape section.

Note, however, that there is no way to have the main body text flow from one section to the next (skipping the landscape section), if that is what you are trying to achieve.
