Change All Numbered Headers in Existing Document
Hi,
I have received several word documents that have their heading styles set to numbered. I want to remove all the heading numbers in all these documents. I understand how to modify the styles, but I want to have the numbers removed throughout the whole document. I can't seem to get the numbers to "disappear" without selecting each line that has a heading style and applying the change. I'm missing something. Help appreciated. Jim P. |

First, check which styles have numbering. I assume that they are the heading styles and that they are built-in styles rather than custom styles.
Use the Organizer to copy the heading styles (as a group, not one at a time) to your document. Then modify those styles so that they look the way you want them to look. |
