Default Typing Problems

Hello all,

I bought my wife a new Dell Inspiron laptop as an early Christmas present and everything's been fine up until now.

It has Windows 7 and the latest Office installed.

But now when she types something in Word or types up an e-mail in Hotmail on FireFox, whatever she's writing automatically disappears. Or it becomes a different font color or her text becomes centered.

It's odd, because I've seen this happen before my eyes when she's not even touching the keyboard! She has a wireless mouse but I disconnected it to see if that might have caused something, but it's still acting weird.

Now, she normally works in our upstairs bedroom and has no problems. However, since she moved down to the dinning room to get some work done, that's when the problems began. Which is odd, because she's worked in the dinning room before with no problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
