WORD 2010 Lines appeared and won't go

Hi there,

I'd really appreciate your help please.
I'm writing my PhD thesis and some lines have appeared and i don't seem to be able to get rid of them. please help.

Big sparkly karma points for anyone who helps me get rid of them before i cry.
