SmartArt as hyperlinks
Hi All,
I am currently making myself a little webpage as more of a workspace kind of thing using Microsoft Word. I am trying to use SmartArt as icons which i have put a hyperlink on, but when i save it as a webpage and open it the hyperlinks do not work. It is not going to be anything exciting, just a place with buttons which i will hyperlink with sites and programs i use so that it is all in 1 place. I have attached a copy to give you an idea of what i am trying to do. I like the SmartArt as i can add an image on it (makes it look slightly better for being really basic), but i cannot find anything else i could use. Any ideas or suggestions if it is possible for SmartArt to work as buttons? Thanks all for your help |

From what I recall, Word can't handle relative hyperlinks: ones that point only to a file name in the same folder. Have you placed the Word doc itself on the website, and clicking on the link doesn't work online? If so, instead of programs.htm for the link, try a full path: http://www.[the URL for your site]/programs.htm.
