Help - Word adds secret code? Copy to notepad?
I have a client who wants all the files provided in notepad format.
I am assured by him that if i type the file in word and copy it to notepad it adds some code to the file? but i can't see it myself. I have done an experiment where i have done exactly the same file, copied one into word and not the other one and they are exactly the same size, so i really don't see how it can be possible. Can a text file hold more information than it is displaying? even if i copy a URL out of word once it's been converted into a hyperlink, whatever i copy it into it's just the text, right? Please help me by telling me wheter or not word adds any code when i copy the file to notepad. How about if i use word to save as a plain text document? The way i have been told to do it is write in notepad, paste into word, look for spelling and grammar mistakes and correct manually in the notepad document, no copying or pasting back... as i'm sure you're aware this is very time consuming. please let me know, thank you Andrew |
