I want to delete the comment column. Can I?
Hi guys!
I want to add some comments on words of my Word file. So, I use Review>Comment. It is easy; but I hate the new column which is created after add a comment, I mean the part which i made distinguishable with a red Celtic cross in the attached picture. I want to know is there any way to delete this column and view comments through another way; for example via holding the mouse on the word and see its comment above it, such as what we do in Excel. Thanks for any help. |

Your profile shows that you are using Office 2010 64 bit (32 bit is the preferred option for most users) however the illustration is from Word 2013?
You are showing comments in balloons, which is the default setting. In Word 2013 > Review Tab > Tracking Group > Show Markup > Balloons > Check Show All Revisions In Line. If you are commenting on the work of students, you may find http://www.gmayor.com/insert_custom_comments.htm useful.
