Default David.ttf font coming up bold

Hello.

I need to cut and paste from a Hebrew Old Testament document done in Microsoft Word. It was originally done in Word 2003, but I since updated it to Word 2007. When I open the document up, the text displays normally. However, about a week ago I began having problems. If I cut and paste, the paste now comes out bold.

I did download some fonts from a Bible website, and may have over-written the David.ttf. However, I later went back and over-wrote the David.ttf with a known good David.ttf font from a disk image backup of my local machine, so the font should be good.

If the font was bad, wouldn't the document open up in bold? But it opens up normally. So is it possible there is some problem in the clipboard utility? And how would I check that?

Or should I just reinstall Office?

Thank you.
