![]() MS Word's Equation Editor uses the Cambria Math font by default, and it renders math variables in a true italic style. I want to use the same font in my text in order to match the equations; but in ordinary text, I get slant Cambria Math glyphs instead of the true italics that Equation Editor produces. Any way to get true Cambria Math italics in ordinary text? |

Office 2010 has no italic Cambria Math font - you can see that by navigating to C:\Windows\Fonts. The ordinary Cambria font, though, has regular, bold, italc & bold italic versions.

Ah, I see; thanks. But if Cambria Math has no italics, what font is Equation Editor accessing that produces what looks like real italics?

It may be that Word uses the Cambria Math font for the symbols and Cambria for the rest. That would give true italics to all except the symbols.
