left margin suddenly disappeared in Draft view
Hi: I strongly prefer working in Draft view and it was working fine, showing my left margin as white space on the left, and now all of a sudden the text is flush to the left and I cannot get it to show the previously visible white space in the left margin. I have tried every possible fix I can find, (including setting new margin widths) and fiddling with the ruler to show the white margin by manipulating it until a blue left margin appears on the ruler. However, as soon as I start a new document it defaults back to the flush against-the-left-margin view. Anyone have any ideas? None of the fixes suggested for earlier versions of Office seem to pertain to this one. I am working on a Mac (Yosemite), Word for Mac 2011 (version14.5.8). (The left margin does show in Print Layout, but I much prefer working in Draft view when composing)
Thank you. |

AFAIK, the only white space one sees on the left in Draft view is that reserved for the Tab control, plus whatever indenting the text has - at least, that's how it works on a PC.
