How do I create a field that will return the current paragraph number minus one in an automatic list
I have a need for an updating field that has the current paragraph number minus one in an automatic numerical list.
For example, in paragraph 40 I want to insert a in the substance of the paragraph a numerical reference to the previous paragraph (paragraph 39) that updates if I add paragraphs before 39. I'm having trouble creating a field that will accomplish this...I have tried using STYLEREF but I cannot get the result I'm looking for. Please help! Thank you. |

Is there a reason for not using a simple cross-reference to the paragraph number?
