Default copy a file which does not have copy option

Hi,
My office uses a package developed by TCS. It generates tables in .doc files format. The concerned employee converts this generated reports in to excel format, but he is on leave. Now when I want to convert these files to excel format I am unable to copy them as normal commands like CTRL+A, CTRL+C are not working. Some one give me a way to copy this table and paste it on excel sheet.
