Question Numbering texts in columns included in a table from up to down but not left to right,

Numbering texts in columns included in a table from up to down but not left to right,

I couldn’t figure out how to number texts in columns included in a table from up to down. The default behavior of Word is numbering from left to right and then up to down (attached).

Thank you

Best

Jamal

You need to use newspaper type columns for this rather than a table. This will require a section break.
Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word 2007-2013

You could also do it with two different numbering lists, possibly SEQ fields.
