Understanding SmartArt
All,
Problem I have is using and understanding smartart. I've attached a diagram I wish to create (see page 1) but I would like it to look professional so I was hoping to use smartart. The first page is the diagram I would like to create. The second page is a diagram used with smartart. More specifically, when attempting to use smartart I can never get the structure to look the same as page 1. If smartart isn't appropriate for the structure I intend to use for my diagram to look professional then would tips would you suggest in making the diagram on page 1 look professional? P.S. Please post answers for both Word 2013 and/or Word 2016 as I've got to teach my friend who only has Word 2013. I'm interested to learn for Word 2016. Word 2013 is more important though so whatever is easiest for you! |

First, realize that Word is a Word processing program, not a drawing program. A drawing program will do anything like this better.
Second, am I right that you want a diagram with the same elements as page 1 but fancier? Page 1 is ordinary drawing objects. BTW, I looked at your document in Word 2010. I believe the controls are the same in Word 2013 and 2016. |
