Captions: Changing captions in Appendix update all captions
Hello all,
This is my first post, so please bear with me. I am writing a large document with an Appendix. The main document uses Headings 1 - 4 while the Appendix uses Heading 6 - 7. My issue is that when I insert a caption in my appendix and choose the "Chapter starts with heading" and I choose "Heading 6" it updates all the figures in the main document with being based on "Heading 6" instead of the correct "Heading 1". Is there a way to only update the captions for the figures in the appendix based on my "Heading 6", while leaving the captions in the main document alone? Thanks in advance, please let me know if I need to clarify at all. Regards, Tom Carnes |

You have to create a separate caption label for the appendix. See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...ppendixes.html.
