Unwanted horizontal lines on word
There are horizontal lines on my word document just like how a normal notebook has lines on them. How do I remove them? I have attached a screenshot of the issue. |

The angle brackets at the corners are what Word calls crop marks.
Do the lines print or merely display? If you open an existing document do they appear, or just on new documents? What happens if you add multi-line paragraphs? With Word 2013, I would suspect "text boundaries" although I don't get them with manual line breaks and text boundaries also have vertical lines at the margins. What you are seeing is not text boundaries. |

Never mind about the text boundaries, that would be in Word 2013 not 2010.
I suspect someone decided it would be nice to have lined notebook-style paper. That person managed to make that your default. With Word closed, try finding and renaming the normal.dotm file to normalold.dotm. Normal Template in Microsoft Word - How to Find or Open the Normal Template |

This happens.

Did you try the suggestion to rename normal.dotm?
It would be rare for the lines to actually line up with your typing unless you have the document set up with very rigid formatting restrictions. |

Yes I tried but it remained the same.

What happens if you start Word in Safe mode?
