Slow internet = Slow Word...
* Windows 7 64Bit
* Office 365 ProPlus * Word Version 15.04727.1003 Hi I usually work on a laptop logged into the network via a dedicated Ethernet cable. Now and then I pick my laptop up and work elsewhere using wireless (shock horror ) When I do this, and the wireless connection is pretty shoddy, Word will play up, i.e. press a key, wait a few seconds, character appears or function actions I cannot tell you how frustrating this is! If I kill the internet completely (via a hardware switch on the laptop) Word stops this stupidity and acts normally. (Don't want to have internet killed as need to pick up emails) Why is this and how can I stop it? TIA |

I guess you are saving to OneDrive? When you have a poor internet connection, it is better to save locally.

Nope, locally to a folder in my documents!

If that is the case, Word is not the issue. It would be your device and/or the connection to the internet...or something in between.

Hmmmm, yes, but Excel works fine and dandy. It only seems to be Word playing up.
Very odd. |
