Default Can't remove page break between a Heading 1 and a Heading 2

I have a page in a document that just has a Heading 1 at the top and then blank space. Headings 2 and 3 follow on the next page, but I need them to continue on the same page. It's acting like there is a page break after the Heading 1 that doesn't show up with non-printing characters displayed, and I can't get rid of it.

Please help if you can.

Thanks.

This is likely in the paragraph formatting of the Heading 2 and Heading 3 styles, a setting for "page break before."

Basic Formatting in Microsoft Word

If you want general application, you would modify the styles. If you want simply to get rid of the page break in a certain instance, modify the paragraph formatting for the paragraph that starts the new page.
