HELP! Alignment buttons are aligning ENTIRE document!
Hello,
I have Word 2008 for Mac. I have a simple problem but its got me pulling my hair out! I am making some flyers and simply want to have some of the text centered and some of the text aligned to the left. I have been using Word in its various forms for years and I believe that I SHOULD be able to just highlight the text (say, a paragraph) and hit the Center Align button and have JUST MY HIGHLIGHTED TEXT move to the center... except its not working. Instead, no matter which of the Alignment buttons I hit (right, left, center, or justified) it is aligning the ENTIRE DOCUMENT that way! ITS SOOOOO FRUSTRATING! I just know that there is some stupid setting somewhere that is screwed up but I am going nuts here and need someone to help me before my OCD kicks in to the max and my computer goes flying out the window! Thanks in advance! |

The document seems to be a same style throughout the document.
Okay here is the solution: Go to that style and Modify (Modify style) >> there you have a check box called automatically update uncheck thatand try. |
