Default Instant Text expander program not working with Word 2003

I have used these two together (literally) for years, and now have the issue that I can type in Word with my expander program (IT), but if I hit the enter key and type a new paragraph, the IT program stops working completely. It shows that it's still linked to Word, but doesn't show my shortcuts anymore.

I have trouble shot the expander program, but I don't think it's it, so I thought I would see if someone here can help me.

Thank you!
Kelli
