Default All editting button disable because of template?

I got a word document that in .doc format. When i open the doc seem like it have a template form document. i just can insert data in the fill they build, example name field.

My problem it's when i insert data in the form, my document from 1 page become 2 page. So i try to edit the template like page layout so that it can be within 1 page. However all the tool button disable an i only can insert data in the field they give.

So why this happen? What kind of word is this? How can i modify the doc so that it can be like normal word?
