Default W13: Format multiple INDEPENDENT columns on one sheet

Well, I tried to make that a meaningful title without writing all the text that I am about to write here..

I want to create multiple columns on a page with which I can add and delete lines to either column and still have absolutely no effect on the other column(s), the same as if I created two vertical text boxes (presuming a two column sheet) side-by-side.

Is there a "right" or "normal" way to do this, or should I use my multiple vertical text box idea?

Thanks folks-

You could create a multi-column, 1-row table, with the 'automatically resize to fit contents option unchecked. The columns can then be given whatever widths you desire and anything you type in one won't affect the others.

Interesting - I will work with it.

Thank-you for the idea!
