Menu has disappeared

Hi,

This may be something simple but...
When I log on to word I get a blank document but the menu at the top of the frame with the tools etc buttons has disappeared! How do I get it back. It has been working fine up until now!

Any help would be much appreciated - I am 84 and need to do some work for my church.
