Multiple Table of Contents MS Word 2013
I am creating a document in MS Word 2013. The document will have three distinct sections, with accompanying tables : Table of Contents, Table of Figures, and Table of Appendices.
* Doc is attached for anyone who wants to play with it/do my work for me ** Table of Figures is not being made for tables/graphics in the document. In this case, it refers to an overall section of the text in the document. I've used the official MS Word procedure to create these three tables (everything is Header 1), but I've encountered several issues: 1. Even though I've successfully created fields for a Table of Figures and Table of Appendices, if I add a new header for either, it is updated to the Table of Contents. 2. The Table of Contents still includes all headers for Figures and Appendices. I want to be able to: 1a. Create seperate Tables that can be individually updated (so if a new section is added in say, Figures, that update will be refelected in the Table of Figures, and not the TOC). 2a. Have my Table of Contents not update sections from Figures or Appendices. How can I do this? Thanks for your help! |
