Faulty document
Hi I have a Word document consisting solely of text (223kb, 44 pages, no graphics or pictures) which looks fine on my PC monitor but misbehaves when I try to print it or email it to anyone. It then somehow reduces to just 3 pages with huge chunks of text missing. Whilst the text that does appear seems random, it's always the same. I have no problems with any other files and my anti virus software detects no problems. As this document has been developed over a number of years with information added from many sources, it would be very time consuming to start over again. I'm using MS Office 2000 and Windows XP. Any ideas on how to solve this would be much appreciated. Ian |

Why not convert it.
Surely it has been saved as a copy- also try converting to another format such as PDF or another document format or copy and paste to wordpad and then convert back sure you'll lose some quality but surely that is better than the present problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried converting to other formats including PDF and cutting and pasting into Wordpad but I still end up with just a three page document and huge chunks of text missing. Back up copies of the file are no better. Other similar sized Word documents are unaffected.
