Default Turn off change tracking in Word Online/OneDrive

Is there any way to turn off change tracking in Word Online (OneDrive)? I signed up for this to edit a document with comments, which works fine, but it also comments all the format changes, which get in the way of the comments I want people to see.

On my PC I have Word Starter, which doesn't allow commenting at all.

I looked into Office 365 subscriptions, but it looks like I'd have to un-install Starter, & I wouldn't be able to get it back after stopping the subscription because it came pre-installed on an old laptop.

If this is a document you are sharing with other people, ask them to turn off the tracking. I'm assuming that the person who created the document must have access to a full version of Word.

Good answer, thanks.

At least in Word 2010, it looks as though you can tell Word not to track moves and formatting, which might give you more readable edit results. I have no idea about a) whether you can do this on a document someone else has created; b) the possibilities in any online version.
