Text Box Query
Appreciate assistance- I am using a downloaded template with a range of text boxes and having trouble moving my cursor to outside of the text box e.g to add some copy or an element below a text box- I am expect there is a simple way to move the cursor to outside the text box- though I cannot find it.
Appreciate any help |

Hi there.
It sounds to me as though the template you have been sent has restricted access due to the writers protecting the document. This means you can only insert data where they allow it (I'm guessing in content control boxes) and doesn't let you click anywhere outside of those areas. If this is the case, you might have to ask to be sent a non-protected Template. Unless they have protected the Template by accident, the whole reason for doing so is to stop people entering data outside the text boxes...So unless they willingly send you and unprotected version, you might have to rethink how you are filling in the template. ): But I'm hoping someone will come up with a solution for you that is less lame )': Good luck. |

Try changing to Normal view. The text boxes will no longer be visible and you should be able to type into the document (unless it's protected!). Change back to Page Layout view to see the results.

Moving from
Assuming your document is unencumbered by the problems indicated above, pressing Esc twice will move your cursor out of the text box.
