select text function is not working supposedly

i use Microsoft office 2013 in windows 8.1, after installed synaptics pointing driver i have some annoying problem about select text function.

here it is: when i double-click a word it selects an entire paragraph instead of a word, it seems like my double-click and triple-click function in term of select text function work reversely.

could anyone help? every help will be very appreciated
