Long time lurker first time poster here. I've searched and searcehd fr an answer to this question so I apologise if there is something I've missed.

Situation: I have a form that has multiple stages of approval. At each stage of approval there is a comments box that can be filled in prior to each person signing the form.

Problem: As we all know, adding a simple digital signature will lock the entire form from editing. So if the form is given to the next in the line to add comments then sign, the original signature is voided. I get why....completely understand, however I need it to work differently.

Question: Is there a way to allocate what part or what fields of the form each digital signature is locking?



Having a single signature lock the entire form isn't what I'm after. I don't work in SharePoint etc and don't want to go down the road of a workflow etc etc. I've looked into Adobe forms, but like the Word forms much more as it is easier to understand with better functions like date pickers etc.

I'm also up for any other methods of being able to do this. As in, I saw during my search that maybe a button for approval of a section may be the easier way to go. I'm not 100% with Macros, but if that is the answer then I'll learn.
