Question I fail to find “Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2013” for Arabic,

I fail to find “Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2013” for Arabic,

I’m not sure why the Arabic language is not available in the list of Proofing Tools (attached).

How can I get proofing tools for Arabic?

Best

Jamal

You may have to purchase a language pack for Arabic. See http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...0?lang=english.

Many thanks Stefan for the help.

I don’t mean here to have interface of the Word in Arabic. I need to check the spelling of Arabic Language. The “Arabic Language Pack for Office 2013” sounds to be for interface but not for proofing

I understand that you don't really want a "complete" language pack, but it is possible that some installations require it. See if the following article helps: https://support.office.com/en-nz/art...rs=en-NZ&ad=NZ (Right-to-left language features).

Many thanks Stefan. My issue is kept unresolved.

I read it and found nothing relevant to my issue .All what I wanted is just proofing tools for Arabic. This should be straightforward.

Default disapointed

its really sad and disrespectful from MS that what was once basic spell assistance available at hand is now not there. Support for other languages , often spoken by 1-2 million people , is more than for Arabic , spoken by nearly 500 million people.

With the fierce advance of Android and other google platforms, MS can not afford such slips

Just to be clear, there is a language pack (which includes proofing tools) available for Arabic.

No one here knows why there isn't a "trimmed down" version of Arabic, including only the proofing tools part of the language pack. Only Microsoft can tell.

You can post feedback for Microsoft here: http://word.uservoice.com.

Also, remember that, before Office 2013, there were no free proofing tools at all, only language packs that you could purchase.

It is still the case that most localized versions include (free) proofing tools for more than the primary language.

Thanks Stefan,

I hope that proofing tools will be embedded in the Office as out of the box. That would be much easier for users

Best
