Track Change & Reviewer Colors
I have a user that had a Word document with track changes. The initial reviewer's track / reviewer (author) change color was red. The user added additional track changes and her track change / reviewer (author) color was blue. The user has the track change options set for formatting changes to author with her color being blue.
When the user saved the document, it reversed the track change / reviewer colors. First of all, why would it reverse the changes, especially if the user's reviewer (author) color was set at blue and second of all is there a way to reverse it back to the original author colors. The user could not get it to change back to the initial author colors. We have tried changing all the track change options to get it to work and it won't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

If you let Word assign colors, which is how the "By author" options work, you have no control over the specific color used with a particular user. See the "Q: How does Word choose which colour to allocate to which author?" section in the article at http://shaunakelly.com/word/sharing/...ngesworks.html.
