Section breaks
You will need to insert a section break after the last text or object on the last page of the first pages, and then unlink the footer of the following page from the previous one (I am assuming that your page number is in teh footer; it could be the header), so that changes in the new section footer will not affect the earlier section.
Turn on hidden character display or use Normal view, so that you can see the section brak when it is inserted. Place your cursor at the end of your first page-numbering series page, and type Alt+I,B (I followed by B with Alt still pressed) and select Next Page in the pop-up. On the following page, open the footer for editing and, with your cursor in it, find the icon in the header/footer toolbar that breaks the link and click it. You'll see "Same as previous" in your footer disappear. You may now add the characters you want after the page number. They will appear on every page in this section. If you have your page numbering set in the document properties for odd and even pages, you'll need to unlink both the odd and even pages following the section break. |
