Default Hidden Text

Hello, I am using Word 2010 to create exams and have been using the hidden text function to reference where my answers are from. However, when I go to hide the text, the formatting becomes a mess as everything shifts up to compensate for the hidden text and over the course of a long exam this is quite the hassle to go back and re add in the spaces everywhere. Is there a way to still have hidden text but to keep its alotted blank space once it is hidden instead of totally removing the line.

Much Appreciated.

You could put the hidden text in table cells of fixed height or text boxes. I would recommend tables. Neither tables nor text boxes need to have borders.

The hidden text within the tables appears to be shrinking still because i have 3 questions a page prior to hiding and then once hidden i have 3.5 questions per page which is no good. I have the table set to a specific height and width. Not sure if there is any other solutions.

Table Cell set to specific height. That is, the cell that holds your hidden text. Somehow your hidden text is expanding the cell containing it when displayed.
