Possible to Use Styles for Shapes
When I create a bunch of shapes via the Insert->Shapes option, is it possible to assign styles to them? For instance, I have some text boxes that all have a uniform background colour and text colour, plus some other 3-D effects and text transform options. Is it possible to assign these a style so I can just change all the colours and effects at once? Thanks.
This is for Word 2010. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 04-03-2015 at 08:05 AM. Reason: Mark as answered |

Save the formatted shape as an autotext or autocorrect entry for ease of re-insertion.

For more on Autotext: Automated Boilerplate Using Microsoft Word
If you need to use Styles, you could use frames rather than textboxes. However, most shape effects are not available to frames. Borders and shading is about it. Frames and Textboxes in Microsoft Word I think you will be ahead of the game using AuitoText. You might want to use Greg Maxey's Add-In to help you organize and use this. Building Blocks & AutoText You could put your shapes into a separate gallery and put it on the QAT. |
