Exclamation Problems with PDF conversion in Word 2013 - related to language?

Hello everyone,

I am new here, please guide me along if I posted on a wrong thread or wrong place about this issue.

Basically I am running on 365 Online subscription X32 bits, The problem is I tried to convert PDF to MS word the conversion was a success, things happen after I click open the word docx. Inside was a rubbish, almost the whole page got boxes and it seem like a undetectable language.

My PDF is running on a language Malayalam. I am not sure why causes the word not to detect it or conversion automatically for me. I tried to copy and paste but to no avail.

Any kind soul encountered this problem? Can you guide me on resolving this?

My Client is from India, not sure whether because he converted his stuff to his India laptop because his laptop is running on his language?

Please Help!

Sincerely
King

Conversions are not good for editing except on the most rudimentary level. The formatting of converted documents will be very poor even if they look good.

At least that part of the pdf may be from scanning rather than conversion and may not have been run through optical character recognition (OCR); that may have been needed.

Check with your client on the source of the pdf. If source is a Word document, try getting that rather than the pdf. If source is scanned material, ask client to run through OCR in Adobe Acrobat or some other program.
