I have been working on this report in Word where is has linked values from Excel and all has been going fine until I ran into this situation.
I have some text in a cell in Excel for example as follows:
This is sentence 1. This is sentence 2.
It is linked to Word and displays fine in Word, as you would expect:
This is sentence 1. This is sentence 2.
If I change, the data in Excel to put in hard return between the 2 sentences (by hitting Alt-Enter). The data in Excel looks now like this:
This is sentence 1.
This is sentence 2.
However, when I update the link in Word it put quotes around the item:
"This is sentence 1.
This is sentence 2."
Is there anyway to supress these quotes. It has me stumped. If I remove the hard return in Excel and I update the link in Word the quotes go away. Any ideas?
