Photo 4 - no, no rulers (not outside the picture either) And no, I didn't turn them off - at least not intentionally.
If the "Collapse the Ribbon" were displayed, I guess we'd know what to do... In Word safe mode it is displayed when I right-click. |

OK. That it works in Safe mode means the problem is not in your Word program, itself. Read the article on Add-Ins.
Another diagnostic would be to temporarily rename your normal.dotm file. Normal Template in Microsoft Word - How to Find or Open the Normal Template Check the Add-Ins first. (Time for me to get to my day job!) |

Now this is really weird. After all that hassle, I started my computer this morning to find that EVERYTHING IS BACK where it's supposed to be! ? I was going to study the add-in article (and still will, in case this happens again) but the problem fixed itself.
Is this simply because I started it in Safe mode, powered down, and powered up again? Anyway, problem solved. |
