So originally i downloaded a .txt file and opened it using wordpad. In the txt file and wordpad, there are usually suppose to be chinese letters i believe in there but when i open it up, i dont see any chinese letters but a bunch of random numbers and letters and things i dont even know how to describe....

Are you sure that this is a text file? If it is in fact some other file format and the filename extension has been changed, the file may be unreadable to WordPad.

wrong font? the Arabic numerals for the ordered list and the readable product/software name remind me of the layout of non-Western brochures.
