Need help with my microsoft word. Every option that i have on the toolbar is massive.

Hey, the text on my toolbar in Microsoft Word and other office gadgets are huge in comparison to what the size should be, I have attached a picture for you guys to get an idea.

Sorry, I do not see the problem. It looks like an ordinary Word ribbon. Here is a sample from my computer; I have a few extra ribbon tabs from Add-Ins but the icon size looks comparable. In part it depends on screen size and resolution.

I think the ribbons would be better if there was some choice as to the size of the icons, but as of Word 2010 (not sure about 2013) there is no such option. From what I can tell some of the icons seem to be small no matter what, but for others you have no real control over their sizes.

So, I will agree with Charles that you showed an ordinary ribbon.

If you right-click on the ribbon, there is an option to "collapse" it so that only the tab labels show until you click on one. Double-clicking on a tab will toggle this option.

As Charles and Bruce have said, the controls on the ribbon come in different sizes, and we can't control that at all.

One new option with Word 2013 is the Touch/Mouse option which is in the drop-down for the QAT. If that is checked, icons will be slightly larger to allow for the larger size of fingers compared to the mouse pointer.

I learned about the mouse/touch toggle from Suzanne B. a couple of days ago! Depending on screen size and resolution it may have a very large impact, I don't know. On my laptop screen it is barely noticeable. I think it only changes the QAT icons. They are slightly farther apart in touch mode; I don't know that they are any larger. Since it is on the QAT drop-down it makes sense that it is only about the QAT.
