Picture title as object?
Hi, Im formatting my thesis and currently dealing with this problem. Whenever I add title to the picture (so I can later create list of them), it appears to be as an object. When I add title to graphs or charts, its with no problem (just text above). My professor told me this irritates him the most, so I need to solve it. Do you know how I can add titles to my pics in the same format as for charts and graphs? Thanks |

How are you adding a 'title'? Select the picture and from the References tab > Insert Caption.

That is exactly what Im doing, but this creates the text in form of an object ( I can resize the whole block, change the overlying), but I need this to be created as just a text above the picture.

Are you saying that the caption is in a floating text frame?

Yes, exactly. And that is the way I don't want it to be.

If you inserted the picture, itself, in a frame or textbox then the caption would be in the same frame or textbox.
